Description of Site Buildings

Nottingham Science Park was first conceived in 1984, and has been developed to meet the needs of Nottingham and the UK’s growing science community, and is a member of the United Kingdom Science Park Association.

The site comprises some 283,000 sq. ft. set within 26 acres first developed in the late 1980’s which has seen a succession of developments providing a campus environment offering range of accommodation from Grade A offices, to good quality workspace for businesses with a scientific or modern technological base, having product research and development as a significant part of their activity.

NSP is situated off University Boulevard (A6005), adjacent to Nottingham Tennis Centre and Beeston Sidings Local Nature Reserve, opposite to the University of Nottingham and BOOTS CAMPUS, 0.5 miles from the Queen’s Medical Centre, approximately two miles South-West of Nottingham City Centre providing excellent connections to the main arterial network to the A52 Ring Road (0.5 miles), A610 (4.6 miles) and Junction 25 of the M1 Motorway (5.5 miles).  Further NSP also benefits from excellent public transport links to Phase II of the Net Tramway Network (University Boulevard) providing easy access to the tramway network in addition to regular bus services.

No. 1 Science Park was built in 2006-7 and won the UK Science Park Association Award in 2009 for innovative, sustainable design.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson

The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Building will create a hub building for the Science Park. The building offers 22,782 sq ft of Grade A office over three storeys in a prominent, attractive setting. The facilities on the ground floor will cater for both current park occupiers and new tenants, providing a space to engage and share knowledge and ideas.

The Building is split in to 6 units ranging from 2,227 sq. ft. to 6,125 sq. ft.with raised access flooring,  suspended ceilings with integrated lighting, comfort cooling in individual suites,  shared kitchen facilities, shower facilities, access to conference facilities, meeting room and café, targeted EPC rating ‘A’, 63 parking spaces (1:613 ratio) and electric car charging points, PV panels on the roof to feed back into the mains supply.

No. 1 NSP

Award winning, iconically clad Grade A office space visible from the main road, No. 1 Nottingham Science Park is the keystone building of the current Science Park. Featuring undercroft parking, a central reception/lobby area, kitchen and shower facilities, attractive open plan office space, full accessed raised floors incorporating floor boxes and climate control, the building also benefits from a full-time manager. No. 1 building offers great views of the park and a superb outdoor environment on the lily pad decking.

An award winning and innovative two storey Grade A office building providing circa 34,500 sq. ft. of office accommodation with a central reception/ lobby area, kitchen facilities, associated WC’s and shower facilities and secure under croft car parking, providing attractive open plan office space benefiting from motion activated intelligent lighting, full accessed raised floors incorporating floor boxes, mixed mode cooling  (adiabatic cooling /natural ventilation).  The building also benefits from a full-time concierge / manager.

Faraday Building

Situated immediately on the left as you enter the Science Park, Faraday offers quality office space, privacy, balcony space and workshop units. A hybrid building of circa 29,750 sq. ft. divided to form 16 units ranging from 1,035 sq.ft. to 5,335 sq. ft., providing self-contained open plan ground floor office / workspace with up and over shutter, WCs and kitchette and  internal staircase to the First Floor mezzanine offices, three phase electricity, gas and water with dedicated car parking.

Heathcoat Building

The building will serve to accommodate the City’s first officially recognised immersive technology hub as a member of Immerse UK (https://www.immerseuk.org/), to be operated by the City Council in partnership with The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.  Further information available via the following link…..

A two storey building providing approximately 9,870 sq. ft. of office / workspace accommodation sub-divided into 24 units, providing suites for smaller scale businesses between circa 260 to 760 sq. ft. with conference room, kitchen, WC’s to both floors and lift. Internally the units generally comprise: –

  • Suspended ceiling with lighting
  • Intercom system
  • Painted plastered walls with perimeter trunking
  • Radiators (with heating provided from a common system)

William Lee Buildings

Named after the inventor William Lee, the namesake premises provide individual accommodation for larger businesses comprising 4 pairs of semi-detached office buildings providing a mixture of separate and inter-linked units comprising a mixture of open plan and cellular accommodation consisting of: –

Sir Isaac Newton

Comprising a campus style development of 4 two-storey  self-contained office buildings of 12,268 sq. ft., The Isaac Newton Centre provides newly refurbished predominantly open plan office accommodation with air-conditioning, and WC and kitchen facilities over both floors, and ample car parking provision, offering space, privacy and peace as you work.

Rutherford House

The property consists a single storey office development of 7,250 sq. ft. providing office accommodation with suspended ceiling and recessed lighting, comfort heating, gar fired central heating system, entrance / reception, board room and meeting rooms, kitchenette, shower and WCs, with generous car parking provision.

Edison Village

This secluded set of office space towards the back of the Science Park offers 12 self-contained formed of four terraces consisting of two storey offices of approximately 14,700 sq.ft., with individual units comprising circa 1,210 sq. ft. providing open plan offices, kitchenette and WCs with dedicated car parking.

Albert Einstein Building

Alexander Fleming

This distinctive building is home to international firm markem imaje. With capacity for production, research and office space, the Alexander Fleming building will impress and impose upon any prospective customer or tenant. It comprises a two storey office building of 16,320 sq.ft., with a central rotunda forming the main entrance, providing open plan accommodation with suspended ceilings, integrated lighting painted plastered walls and carpeted floor covering and ample car parking provision.

Bell House

Comprising a pair of modern two-storey office buildings linked by a central entrance hallway providing good quality office accommodation of circa 10,640 sq. ft., providing car parking for up to 72 vehicles and a short walk from Beeston Sidings Nature Reserve.
